Soft Power without Power, Without Future?
The Pheu Thai government's creative economy policy aims to boost Thailand's "soft power" through cultural products like food and tourism, focusing on training 20 million creative workers and establishing THACCA (Thailand Creative Culture Agency).
However, progress has been slow, with limited funding for skill development and the THACCA Act still under development. Most of the budget is directed toward tourism infrastructure, while online courses and training remain inadequate, limiting the policy’s potential.
Can the government overcome these challenges and drive the sector's growth?
